Smart-Type adds predictive phrase completion to Clarion applications.
As a user types, Smart-Type compares the text against stored phrases and can suggest or complete matching text. When several matches are available, an optional list can let the user choose the intended phrase.
More than a lookup field
Smart-Type can match words throughout the text being entered rather than only matching the beginning of a lookup value.
That makes it especially useful where users repeatedly enter descriptive text, notes, histories, comments, or other phrase-heavy information.
Broad control support
Smart-Type works with entry fields, text fields, RTF controls, and edit-in-place controls. The implementation is thread-safe and designed for MDI applications.
